Johnson City, TN has completed a Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation project in its downtown core! The aging pipes were cracking and letting the groundwater into the sewer system. Resin-filled felt liner is pushed through the old pipes and expanded by using hot water. Once cured, this new liner creates a water-tight and structurally sound barrier.
Flow data from the project shows that this project has kept over 670,000 gallons a day from entering the downtown sewer system! This keeps treatment and ratepayer costs down and allows for Johnson City Water and Sewer to continue to provide excellent service to all the new growth happening downtown. #StrongerHappierCommunities
